Understanding the Feline Perspective:
With the positive and fun aspects of having a pet in our households we start seeing a rise in pet ownership every year. People posting their daily pet shenanigans on social media and allowing their cats and dogs to become internet famous has started a demand for more pet ownership. But as more pets are adopted an increase in behavioral problems becomes more imminent in our four legged friends. Most advice from trainers and veterinary professionals is suited to man's best friend, but cats are actually taking up over more homes, are owners truly understanding the needs of these animals we say have domesticated "us"? Is bad cat behavior, modification, and prevention really a priority? What's really going on in their tiny but instinct driven minds?
Observing the daily routines of shelter and house cats.
Is there a difference in their behavior?
How do they spend their day?

Focusing the Design
Because cats are actually considered "prey" animals, security is one of their main priorities. Until this need is met, cats do not display confidence or curiosity for any of their surroundings, in other words, they do not fully show their personality or confidence. From all the concepts I decided to focus on the ones that made security and comfort the main objective, followed by other basic needs in order to help cats have a full lifestyle suited to their habits.
